Michael Moore is about to release a new movie through Miramax called
Fahrenheit 911, which connects George Bush to Osama Bin Laden and other moneyed Saudis. Disney, as the parent company of Miramax, is putting a stop to the release of the movie as they object to the subject matter. Moore faced a similar resistance when he attempted to release his book
Stupid White Men, which ultimately was released and became a New York Times bestseller. Disney could not be reached for comment.
In related news, Warner Brothers has put a stop to the release of
New York Minute. The film, starring Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, attempts to link the twins to punk rock, a connection that Warner Brothers finds not only immoral but also implausible. The Olsen Twins could not be reached for comment.
